Our Indigenous Trainees are directly employed by a Group Training Organisation and hosted at an ILSC office or property. Traineeships are a combination of paid work and structured training over a period of 12 to 24 months, depending on the qualification.
Our Indigenous Cadetship Program links Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander tertiary students with the ILSC
in a cadetship arrangement involving full-time study and negotiated work placements. Cadets are provided
with a Study Allowance and a Book Allowance at the beginning of Semester 1 and 2 - both are paid by the
ILSC. Cadets will attend 12 weeks paid work experience at the ILSC over each full academic year.
