Career Pathways into Early Childhood Education

Early Learning Connection provides flexible career pathways in early childhood education.

Join us and be supported in the profession, with other women just like you.

Choose from our flexible pathways, where you will be supported to study, work and receive coaching.

Start Your Journey with 12 months of support

Start your Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care at the Canberra Institute of Technology, while working and be supported along the way.  This pathway provides 12 months of support.

Study at CIT

You will study for free, introductory units towards the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Be supported to attend CIT once a week and after only 12 months, you will have completed 40% of the Certificate III.

Start working

You will be provided opportunities to work casually or part-time at an early learning centre. Be mentored to apply what you’re studying, receive on the job training and learn best practice from experienced educators. You will build relationships with children and families and be part of a growing community of early childhood education professionals.

Get coaching

You will have your own educator coach, to help you balance work, study, life commitments and most importantly, your own wellbeing. You will be supported to develop your goals, identify any challenges, and be empowered to embrace your new career. If you have children under 5 years, your coach can help you enrol them at a centre while you work and study.
