There are many pathways into tech and we provide the technical and behavioural skills to help kickstart your career across a range of fields.

Generation Australia programs are free and no prior experience is required, but the demand for places is high.

They look for motivated individuals who have a genuine interest in tech and learning new skills. 60% of Generation Australia graduates are employed within 90 days of program completion, and over 240 employers have hired Generation Australia graduates.

AGED CARE PROGRAMS

Enjoy caring for others? With support from start to finish and a guaranteed pathway to a paid, Residential Care Traineeship with Australian Unity; gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence to make a difference in this vital sector.

This unique, two-part employment program will prepare, support and guide you into a rewarding career in Aged Care.

Part 1 : Aged Care Foundations:

Undertake a comprehensive, 4-week foundational program to prepare you for a role in the Aged Care sector. This program will include an introduction to the aged care sector, basic technical training in personal care concepts and key human & soft skills to help you start an Aged Care traineeship with confidence. This program will primarily be delivered online, with an in-person site visit.

Part 2: Australian Unity Residential Care Traineeship

Upon successful completion of the Aged Care Foundations program, you will transition into a Certificate III in Individual Support, via a paid traineeship with Australian Unity, a highly regarded and leading Aged Care provider. This will provide you with a nationally recognised qualification to work in Aged Care while gaining on-the-job training and experience. *You must complete two parts consecutively.

ELIGIBILITY 

Generation Australia strongly encourage First Nations people to apply. Selected programs have appropriate adaptation and personalised support for those who need it.

Specific programs may have other criteria, please review when applying. Location restrictions apply given employer locations post-graduation. But as a general guide of eligibility applicants must 

 

  • Not currently be in full-time employment, education, or training
  • Are available to attend online classes for the full duration of the program
  • Are an Australian citizen or permanent resident equivalent
  • Are proficient in English literacy and numeracy
  • A genuine interest in the sector the program is targetting
